Planning for music video
Planning
Wish List
Bright colours
Wellies
Umbrellas
Photos – Cameras
establishing shot
close ups
Pan shots
Medium shots
Variety of locations
Pathetic Fallacy
Jump cuts
Synopsis
The music we are going to use is “Shake It” – Metro station. The storyline to this music video will be about four girls chasing after the same guy. However, we do not want the entire video to focus around the plot. We want to use a variety of locations and camera shots to keep the audience interested which will help us break up the storyline, as we don’t want the narrative to run from beginning to end. To help us do this we will use jump cuts. Also the mise en scene must play a major role in our music video, as this will set the tone, establish the genre and create an image for the band.
